Dr. Don Beck Retires

Hello Friends and Family,

It's with mixed feelings that I bring you news of the retirement of our residential program director, Dr. Don Beck. We will miss him, but are also glad to see him leave to enjoy his retirement. Don has brought so much joy and compassion to both our staff and all of the clients he has worked with. He has been a strong leader and force of positive energy throughout the RTC and on the Executive Team. Don truly believes that all people can get better and that showed in his willingness to work with even the most difficult clients and to never give up on anyone. His dedication could be seen at the RTC as he was constantly present all the time, including on the weekends and late at night. Still, you would never catch him without a smile on his face and a quick check in on how you were doing.

Don is an amazing friend, clinician, mentor and father. He will be greatly missed and we all wish him the very best in his retirement!


What's next for New Roads residential program?

Well, Don has some big shoes to fill. Luckily, we have been planning for this change for a little while now. We have decided to split some of his duties up into three new positions. We like to call this the "Triad of Treatment" approach or as Eric has deemed it the "Terrific Triad." We will have a Program Coordinator that will run the Therapeutic Community aspect of the program, the Facilities Manager who will oversee all of our mentor staff and logistics and our Program Director who will help make clinical decisions and be our liaison with families and referral sources. Next week I will send out an email announcing the all star team members that will be filling these rolls.
