The 2013 Spring IECA Conference in Chicago marked the first conference that New Lifestyles was not a part of the Independent Small Programs Alliance.

To have been a member of this unique group of individuals and programs has provided not only an opportunity for sharing resources and ideas but also an avenue for creating support historically absent for small programs in our industry.

The decision to leave ISPA was not an easy one to make. While we will miss the camaraderie so characteristic of ISPA membership, we are anxious to integrate the ideas gained from our affiliation. We will always view Andy Anderson as a Titan in the industry of therapeutic schools and programs and will remain grateful to him for the guidance he so wisely and passionately provided. We are better for having been affiliated with him and with ISPA these last seven years.

As we say goodbye, we wish Andy and his member programs the very best of luck in all future endeavors.

New Lifestyles is a small, coed, individualized transition program for emerging adults. Our uniqueness among programs for young men and women 18 years of age and older is in our ability to provide a clinically intensive opportunity for self-development and growth within a typical and non-stigmatizing community setting that promotes a sense of freedom and choice.
