New Leaf Expands
Equine Therapy Options

New Leaf Academy, founded in 1997 as the first therapeutic boarding school specifically for girls 10 - 15 at time of admission, is pleased to announce the expansion of our existing equine therapy program.

Beginning in February 2013, New Leaf students will, in addition to our highly-regarded equine therapy program, have the opportunity to participate in our new Freestyle Therapeutic Vaulting experience.

Designed to integrate body movement and equine communication, vaulting utilizes balance, strength and flexibility to choreograph creative movement on horseback. Students will learn the six fundamental and compulsory vaulting exercises, as well as freestyle movement in which students can design short routines to their selection of music.

This opportunity is highly adaptable, conducted in a safe environment with experienced instructors, and can accommodate a wide range of fitness levels. Our girls will benefit from enhanced levels of trust with their horse, while further developing their staff relations and friendships with peers.
