John L. Stewart, LCSW a long-time clinical leader at New Haven RTC has accepted the position of Executive Director. John's new role, effective July 1, 2011 will allow Dustin Tibbitts, LMFT, who has been functioning both as the New Haven Executive Director and as the President of InnerChange, to provide increased support of each InnerChange program while ensuring that seasoned leadership continues at New Haven.
Mr. Stewart has over twenty years of experience. He has worked as a therapist, executive director of an adult dual diagnosis program, clinical director at New Haven, and as an adjunct university faculty member. He currently serves as a Board member of the National Association of Therapeutic Schools and Programs (NATSAP). "John has been instrumental in the development and growth of New Haven's highly effective clinical model. His experience in managing the New Haven clinical team along with his superb skills as a clinician will allow our program to maintain its strong position as a leader in the treatment of young women and their families. We are lucky to have such a high quality person, both professionally and personally help guide New Haven", said Dustin Tibbitts of InnerChange.
In addition to New Haven, InnerChange operates Sunrise Academy, Fulshear Ranch and has recently begun to provide out-patient services in Sandy, Utah. The InnerChange programs provide educational, treatment, and recovery for adolescent girls and young women experiencing emotional or behavioral difficulties. Our residential treatment and transitional living programs are clinically sophisticated and designed to facilitate whole-family healing.
New Haven RTC is a Residential Treatment Program and Boarding School for teen girls, ages 12-18.
