New Beginnings at Seven D's Ranch would like to announce the hiring of Randy Elmer. Randy has been entrusted to run our Horsemanship program and, if you're looking for a real "Cowboy and Buckaroo" you need look no further. Randy brings 25 years of experience working with horses and cattle and enjoys the outdoors. In addition to Randy, we would like to introduce our 3 new horses to the program.

Randy will be teaching our students about horses from the ground up. Randy's style will be to teach everything there is to know about horses starting with the basics of a horse, their demeanors, and genetic make-up along with their instincts. Once this is completed Randy will be moving the residents and the horses to the round ring. This is where the residents will learn about longeing a horse and applying pressure for different movements. After this work is complete, our residents will be given the opportunity to ride the horses that they have bonded with through this time and have an enjoyable trail ride experience.

In addition to the Horsemanship Program, Randy will be in charge of all livestock movement and be in charge of building our brand new tack room. "Since our horse program has really taken off we will need space for all our donated saddles, the garage can only do so many things" says Larry Dixon, Founder/Executive Director of New Beginnings at Seven D's Ranch. "I feel that Randy will be a great addition to our treatment family, and life out on the ranch", "Randy brings a lot of quality and true cowboy charm to the place, and will soon be teaching leather works class." We are very happy to have him aboard.

If there is anything that we can do for you please just let us know. Contact Larry E. Dixon at
435-979-6372 or Ann Dixon at 435-979-6992.

New Beginnings at Seven D's Ranch is an owner- operated, licensed residential treatment center for boys & girls, ages 14-17. The Ranch utilizes a relationship-based model that integrates real world skills through experiential therapy and parent-student-family workshops.
