The Neuro Assessment and Development Center, Inc. is a private, multidisciplinary center with a "Neuro" specialty approach towards assessment and treatment. Through our combined experiences, we feel strongly that most psychiatric and behavioral issues are driven by Neuro-cognitive syndromes that have never been assessed correctly and cannot be accurately diagnosed through a standard psychological exam. Our specialty is Neuropsychology and so all evaluations will be interpreted through this lens. Our primary assessment tool is a Neuropsychological evaluation which creates the road map for diagnosis, treatment, and recommendations.

Neuropsychological Evaluation is an evaluation of the brain-behavior relationship. It is the unique integration of genetic, developmental, and environmental history with formal test data to create a narrative report that tells the story of the patient and gives highly specialized recommendations. Formal testing assesses cognitive, personality, and functional areas through: Intellectual and Academic functioning, Executive Functioning, Memory, Attention, visual & auditory Memory, Language and Reading skills, as well as, Gross and fine motor development. In addition, because personal efficiency and effectiveness are dramatically affected by emotional state, we also evaluate Personality functioning to understand how the patient feels about themselves and interacts with the world around them. Collateral information and Behavioral Assessment is sought from parents, educators, doctors, and therapists when appropriate.

The full Neuropsychological charge includes interviews, test administration, scoring, interpretation, report writing and a follow-up visit for feedback and recommendations. A detailed and narrative report of the evaluation which includes recommendations will follow within 10 days of the evaluation and a feedback session will be scheduled at the earliest convenience for the family, consultant, and the Neuropsychologist.

Population Served through Assessment and Treatment: Children, Adolescents, Adults

For patients that we find that it is necessary, we can also include a Behavioral Consultation to help with the remediation of very specific behavioral problems so that education and therapy can move forward as soon as possible.
