A Northwest Academy alumni student is presenting at the Rocky Mountain Regional NATSAP Conference.

The alumni student is participating in a discussion moderated by Northwest Academy Clinical Supervisor Dan Tadlock, LCSW. The discussion is titled, "The Whole Child-Taking a Look at Treatment through a Child's Eyes." He will be sharing his personal experience with treatment and the skills and tools that helped prepare him for life in the "outside world." The presentation and discussion is intended to help enhance treatment from a client centered approach by hearing directly from clients. He will be joined by two other students who also attended a therapeutic boarding school.

The Northwest Academy graduate is currently attending Eastern Washington University, is the Vice President of his fraternity, and is working towards a degree in communications.

The alumni student's mother shared, "I just wanted to let you know that my eyes were brimming with tears this morning when I got a text from Colin saying how he was really excited about the presentation. I could never have fathomed where Colin is today, when I was living through days of pure terror, before Northwest Academy. We are so grateful to all Northwest Academy has done, and continues to do, for young men like Colin."
