It is certainly a beautiful time on the NSI Campus. Spring seems to have finally arrived, and the students and staff are looking forward to all that the warmer weather has to offer, especially the weekly cookouts and bonfires. As we look forward to the warmer months, I would like to mention that we will be holding our "1st Annual NSI Campus Cookout" on Saturday, June 2. Invitations will be sent out in a few weeks.
As for me, I continue to make my way around our home state of Wyoming, and I have appreciated the opportunity to get to know many of you, your services as well as community needs. I'm grateful for the feedback, and strive to improve and expand our services to best meet the wide array of needs across Wyoming, while also sticking to what we do well.
As many of you know, "family" is an important aspect of our student's treatment and success. We assist in ensuring our family and students are able to have face-to-face visits either on campus or at their home. NSI also offers assistance with court and other agency needs. For more details about assistance (including transportation and lodging), please contact Michelle Knight at

Our basketball season ended recently during the regional tournament in Gillette, WY. The boys played hard and participants gained key life skills, to include sportsmanship, leadership, and respect for their fellow team members. Due to the hard work, one of our students made first team All-State and three students made 1st team All-Conference. We're very excited for these students and extremely proud of all our players. The Track and Field program is now underway. Despite early training in less than cooperative weather, over half the campus showed up to become part of the team. We are expecting an exciting and competitive season.
Each year, we hold an educational Career Fair to provide an opportunity for our students to get exposure to a litany of professions to inform their thinking as they prepare for the future. Additionally, it teaches students necessary communication and interviewing tools, which are critical to career development. If you'd like to participate or have ideas for next fall's Career Fair, please contact Michelle Cory at
mcory@normativeservices.com.
Rather than hold our standard formal banquet again this year, we have decided to shift to a more casual, fun annual campus cookout. We'll be inviting families of our students and staff as well as many of our supporters, to include community members, elected officials, local businesses, probation officers, social workers, case managers and judges. I assure you that there will be fun games, entertainment and, of course, good food!
Remember that you are always welcome to visit our campus. If interested, please contact me. Thanks to all of you that have visited the campus in the past.
Again, thanks for your support and interest in NSI Academy!
Sincerely,
Carolyn
