Rent a kayak, sailboat or bicycle; visit the Summer Waves Water Park, the Georgia Sea Turtle Center or shop in the Historic District. Tour the Golden Isles by trolley, helicopter or sightseeing cruise. Night Shark Fishing with Captain Reynolds, Casino Cruise on the Emerald Princess or take the Ghost Walk of St. Simons.
Jekyll Island's annual Shrimp & Grits Festival: The Wild Georgia Shrimp Festival is a cook-off event in the historic district which features live entertainment. This event lasts all weekend: Friday evening at 6:00PM, Saturday morning at 10:00AM or Sunday at Noon. Come down and taste the best Shrimp and Grits anywhere.
The Annual NATWC cookout on the opening night of the Conference will be at the Villas By the Sea Pavilion and the Annual NATWC Challenge Triathlon will be following the last Session on Monday afternoon.
Conference Sessions will include clinical and outdoor skill presentations by Maurie Lung, Matt Losch, and Patrick Bartle, Justin Padgett, Jason Brode and others. A State of the Industry Symposium will be presented by Sharon Laney and Rosemary Tippett( NATSAP), Rob Meltzer( Naropa U), Lon Woodbury (IEC Struggling Teens), Len Buccellato (IEC Hidden Lake Academy), Jude Hirsch (AEE/Georgia College and State University), Rick McClintock (NATWC), moderator Angie Senic (Eckerd Youth Alternative).
