The National Association of Therapeutic Wilderness Camping is announcing the creation of a new website at www.natwc.org . The new site has been created in time to preview the NATWC Annual Training Conference, September 21-23 at Villas by the Sea in Jekyll Island Georgia. Participants can also register and pay for conference fees online.
The conference features a "State of the Industry" symposium, where prominent figures of the field will be given the opportunity to discuss historical premises, current issues, and future needs of the outdoor treatment and education industry. Symposium guests include
organizational leaders from: NATWC, NATSAP, AEE, IECA, OBHIC, as well as politicians and college and university representatives. The conference will also feature clinical, educational and outdoor skill workshops that fall under categories specific to NATWC's National Wilderness Counselor Certification. The annual NATWC Challenge will also be held for outdoor program teams looking to claim the Triathlon Title.
"This conference, at under $200, is still one of the best values for training and networking going,… and the site is just spectacular!", says NATWC Executive Director, Tick McClintock. There is still room for programs and vendors of the Outdoor Education and Therapy Industry to showcase their products or program.
Advertising opportunities also exist!
