OSU-Cascades and Northwest Regional NATSAP Collaborate

This year's Northwest Regional NATSAP Conference is expected to be a huge success! The conference is scheduled April 12 - 13, 2012, in Bend, OR.

With the Conference Theme of "Collaboration", NW NATSAP Board Members have done just that by partnering with Daniel Stroud, Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program Coordinator of the Oregon State University - Cascades Campus (OSU-Cascades).

These efforts were made in order to enhance the experience of attendees, broaden the opportunity to reach future NATSAP members for increased memberships and provide a venue for college students in the Counseling Program with an opportunity to learn about our industry and potentially locate internships and jobs that match their personal interests. The Regional Board Members include: Michael "Griff" Griffin of Second Nature Cascades, Libby Griffin of Second Nature Wilderness Programs, Joan McOmber of Bridges Academy and Chesley Strowd of Academy at Sisters.

Daniel Stroud commented, "It's an absolute honor for us at OSU-Cascades to host NATSAP for its NW Regional Conference. This event serves as a bridge between students in our graduate program in counseling and imminent professionals in the Northwest who work tirelessly to improve the well-being of our young people and their families. Hopefully this year will serve as the first of many partnerships between NATSAP and OSU-Cascades."

The Welcome Reception on Thursday, April 12 at Wiley Hall is at 5pm and will include dinner and a discussion with the Conference following at Cascades Hall on Friday, April 13. Registration will be available at 5pm on Thursday and 8am, 9am on Friday.

The 2012 NW Regional Conference has an eclectic group of twelve amazing presenters lined up to speak -- ranging from students, to program staff and therapeutic boarding school alumni to an attorney -- on a variety of topics that will be of great interest to those in the industry.

There are still opportunities available for sponsorships, vendors and programs hoping to have an exhibitor's booth.
