Rocky Mountain Region NATSAP
Call For Papers

NATSAP's 2009 Rocky Mountain Regional Conference will be held Thursday & Friday, May 7-8, 2009 in Missoula, Montana with a deadline for submission of papers: Friday, February 20, 2009.

The conference will include breakouts focusing on issues of interest to therapeutic school and program staff including clinicians, direct care staff, academic faculty, and managers/directors. Specifically, this conference endeavors to focus on the integration of education, clinical, recreation and milieu.
In the following, please find examples of topics of interest:

Clinical Presentations - focusing on topics of interest to therapists and others who are involved in addressing clinical concerns:
Collaboration with education and direct care staff
The therapist role in integrating clinical with education, recreation, and milieu

Milieu & Recreation Presentations - focusing on topics of interest to direct care staff:
How to integrate recreation into milieu work
Best ways to integrate education into milieu

Education Presentations - focusing on topics of interest to academic faculty:
Teachers collaborating with direct care around facilitating study skills in students
The education program integration with clinical program

Leadership Presentations - focusing on topics of interest to administration and managers:
Quality cross-program relations
Best practices of integrating education, clinical, recreation, milieu
