This event will be held on June 3, 2017 and will benefit the International OCD Foundation, whose mission is to help all individuals with obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) and related disorders to live full and productive lives. The International OCD Foundation works to increase access to effective treatment, end the stigma associated with mental health issues, and foster a community for those affected by OCD and the professionals who treat them.
"We at Mountain Valley know all too well how debilitating OCD can be," explains Don Vardell, Director of Mountain Valley Treatment Center. "We also know how treatable it is. The reward of giving a teen their life back is powerful. Unfortunately, an understanding of OCD and its effects on everyone in the family are not fully appreciated.
Mountain Valley uses empirically supported treatment modalities for OCD and anxiety disorders. The program and facility are managed using industry best practices. MVTC is licensed by the State of New Hampshire, Department of Health and Human Services and is nationally accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). Residents are typically with MVTC for 60 to 90 days. Optional post-treatment program for continued academic exposure and credit recovery is available.
