Montford Hall, a residential substance abuse treatment center and therapeutic school for adolescent boys, announces that Sally Westmoreland has joined its Board of Directors, bringing with her a strong commitment to supporting the Montford Hall mission and a solid board membership and committee leadership background.
"In the years that I've known Sally, I've observed her dedication, sincerity, and follow-through," says Alex Kirby, PsyD. Executive Director. "I'm thrilled that she is now helping to shepherd Montford Hall through its promising nascence into a fully realized vision."
Westmoreland, an associate broker with Coldwell Bank Residential Real Estate in Atlanta, was a long-time member of the Board of Directors of
HARMONY: Atlanta's International Youth Chorus and served as its President from 2000-2002 and 2006-2008. She chaired the Fundraising Committee for the Atlanta-Fulton County League of Women Voters, 1980-1985.?Since 1988; she has served several three-year terms on the Administrative Board of Peachtree Road United Methodist Church. She led the Worship Commission from 1986-1988 and chaired a search committee for music staff on three separate occasions. She has also served, in various capacities, with several other educational institutions and social services organizations.
"I've had the privilege of seeing Alex's clinical expertise first-hand," Westmoreland says, "and am impressed with the way he's now brought his innovative, rigorous thinking to bear on a programmatic level. I'm convinced of Montford Hall's unique value in the landscape of teen recovery and am excited to be in a position to support the program's efforts."
