New Faces At Monarch School

Monarch School is pleased to introduce the addition of several new staff members to their school:

Chris Laviola, PsyD has recently joined Monarch School as their new Clinical Director. Chris received his Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Pepperdine University in 2009 and has enjoyed working with adolescents in a variety of settings, including his work at an alternative high school, Wyoming State Hospital, a rural high school, and an Adolescent Inpatient unit.

With the addition of two new creative arts courses being offered, Monarch School would like to welcome Mark Cheslic, the new Woodshop teacher. Mark has been woodworking since he was 12 and has run his own construction business for the past seven years. Also joining the team is Ben Edstrom, who teaches drumming, and offers individual lessons in addition to facilitating a weekly group performance for the school. Ben grew up participating in bands and choirs and has worked the past ten years with teenagers in this forum.

We are excited to have the experience and enthusiasm all of these new staff are bringing to our school.

Monarch School is a co-ed college prep boarding school, offering teens a curriculum that includes college prep academics, creative arts, character development, vocational learning and outdoor education. Within this frame work, students discover the value of positive choices and personal accountability.
