Moving Forward

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

By now you have received a letter from Living Well Transitions letting you know I am leaving their program on October 15 and am currently in the process of training my replacement.

I have been called in another direction and will be beginning a new job working with Back 2 Basics, an adventure recovery program for young adult males ages 18-30 located in Flagstaff, AZ. I have known the owner and director, Roy Du Prez, for the last three years and have admired his passion and work helping young addicts regain a sober life through a 3 day adventure week and 4 days of programing. It is a 6 month program with transitional living available after completion. Flagstaff offers great opportunities for college and they are highly connected to the community with a variety of job opportunities for their clients. I believe recovery takes time and practice with a strong sober community and new ways to spark and practice fun alternatives to use. I am excited to tell you more about it.

I also will be working for Bodhi Casa, a small transitional sober living program in Hermosa Beach, CA. Stefan Kocev is the owner/ director and also works with young adult males. He has done amazing work and has shown some solid success with his clients far beyond their 1 year in his program. His commitment to sobriety shows by his working with any of his clients beyond their completion of his program. He too is closely tied to his local community and teaches new passions and activities while living a healthy lifestyle.

Both Roy and Stefan are of like minds and I am excited to be working with both of them. I look forward to talking to you soon, educating you and having you come visit. Count on me reaching out to you in the next couple of months and feel free to contact me prior if you would like. I am excited to be moving forward in this direction in an area that needs solid, passionate and talented people available to help prevent the pain and suffering of addiction.
