College Support Program for
Spectrum and NVLD

Mansfield Hall is a comprehensive college support program and residence for young adults who will benefit from a holistic approach to higher education and independent living. Our mission is to assist students with various disabilities to successfully earn a college degree, develop living skills, and begin a productive career and independent lifestyle.

Students come from a variety of backgrounds, but have one thing in common: the desire to lead an independent and meaningful life. We work with students who have the capacity for college study, but still need to develop their adaptive skills to reach their true potential. This may include students with mild autism or Asperger's Syndrome, nonverbal learning disabilities, traumatic brain injury, and other disabilities that provide challenges to obtaining a college degree independently without supports.

Mansfield Hall is located in the heart of Burlington, Vermont, where our students, attending any of the nearby two- and four-year colleges, can become a part of the larger collegiate community. Recently rated the "Happiest Small City" in the country by CBS News, Burlington is nestled between the Green Mountains and Lake Champlain and provides the perfect environment for transitioning into adulthood. The experience of successfully learning, living, giving, and engaging - of doing the work of an independent and contributing adult - is the powerful teacher that enables our students to realize their possibilities.
