Logan River Academy is pleased to announce the opening of their new girls program. On October 1, 2009 the girls at Logan River Academy will be moving to a beautiful country home, overlooking the valley and located a few miles off campus, on five acres of beautiful property.

This move will allow girls gender specific treatment, yet still provide co-ed experiences through school and activities provided through structured social interaction.

Girls will be able to focus on individual interests and life skills such as culinary arts, handicrafts, animals (including horses), community service and more. The Adventure Learning program will be offering the girls and assortment of recreational activities including skiing, hiking, rock climbing, camping, canoeing, river running and mountain biking.

A staff fitness instructor will teach and promote positive body image through education, healthy nutrition choices and an active lifestyle.

Individual treatment plans are created to address each girl's unique and specific needs. Common issues include: bipolar disorder, PTSD, depression, dysthymia, substance abuse, etc.
