The girl's dormitory and entire base of operations has moved to our home in Wellsville, previously occupied by Tavasi. The Tavasi program remains alive and well and the boys have moved to a special dorm on the Logan River Campus. Tavasi's new home was selected because it allows a special level of independence and yes, the dogs have moved along with the boys to a newly constructed home on campus. The Tavasi program continues in its dedication to a higher functioning boy who is in need of extra transitional opportunities and time.

The move for our girls captures clinically the "Best of All Worlds." The girls now enjoy a beautiful "home type" of living arrangement in a gender specific environment including an entire program and activity schedule dedicated to them and their specific needs. Our focus remains dedicated to the cultural, social and physical programming issues surrounding girls and this move has enhanced our ability and attention to meet this goal. Activities including: dance, yoga, animals, crafts, handicrafts, culinary, etc. will be the intent of our menu of services individualized to the needs of each student. While all this specific work is dedicated to their needs, our girls still participate in school and selected activities with the boys in a "real world" opportunity that is appropriately structured and supervised, allowing them to build and practice necessary skills for return to life.

The Tavasi program has already moved to their new home, has settled in, and is doing well. The home in Wellsville has been re-furbished for our girls and they moved to their new home on Saturday, October 3, 2009. The girls are thoroughly enjoying their new dorm and specific activities.

We are very excited and pleased about this enhancement and would be pleased to send you a brochure for the program or set up a tour of our facility. Please call myself or Lindy Smith for any questions or referral information.
