Life of Purpose Treatment (LOP) is excited to announce the addition of Devin Fox, MSW as our Clinical Outreach Coordinator. Devin aspires to assist in transforming the field of addiction to truly incorporate a recovery-oriented system of care that expands the services provided to those people living with a substance use disorder in order to reduce relapse and support long-term recovery. Devin is beyond excited to join the Life of Purpose team as he truly believes that providing access to education is a missing link for many youth and young adults living with a substance use disorder. Shifting and changing the traditional treatment model to give a stronger foundation in recovery will increase positive health outcomes and improve the quality of life for those we serve.

Devin Fox is a graduate of Rutgers University where he obtained his BASW and MSW while living at the United States' first collegiate recovery community. His past professional experience includes being the Recovery Advocate for NJ's Division of Mental Health and Addiction Services, a 2013 Advocate for Action for the Office of the National Drug Control Policy and the Executive Director of Young People in Recovery. He currently volunteers his time as a member of the board of directors for Youth MOVE National; a youth led national organization devoted to improving services and systems that support positive growth and development by uniting the voices of individuals who have lived experience in various systems. Devin is the acting chair for the Palm Beach County Substance Awareness Coalition's Relapse Prevention Task Force and the Chapter Lead for Young People in Recovery's first Florida chapter.

The Life of Purpose Treatment (LOP) is a private, academically-focused recovery program for young adults challenged with addiction. Three different spheres of care include: day treatment with community housing, intensive outpatient, and academically-focused aftercare. LOP offers clinical and academic services to current (and prospective students) struggling with substance abuse issues. Conveniently, located on Florida Atlantic University (FAU) property in Boca Raton, FL, LOP is among the first of its kind to offer students the opportunity to pursue academic goals alongside a comprehensive continuum of care. LOP goes beneath the surface of addiction to unveil triggering issues of the addiction process, such as low self-esteem, lack of direction or purpose in life, traumatic events, family turmoil, angst in interpersonal relationships, learning disabilities, physical pain, depression, anxiety and other mental health issues. Concurrently, students are matched with a qualified case manager that keeps them on track academically, works with the university system, and provides the educational support necessary for achievement of educational goals. Being the first of its kind in the United States to be located directly on a university campus, our approach is a unique one that bridges the gap between addiction recovery and higher education.
