Exciting New Things Happening At Life Designs

Dear Colleagues,

We have a number of exciting new things happening at Life Designs we would like to share:

12 Month Programming
We have re-structured our program and payment model to support the needs of our clients and their families. We now offer a one year, all-inclusive program for $65,000 that includes our Learning Phase and Living Phase (avg. $5,416/mo.).

The Learning Phase begins at our rural Lodge in Cusick, WA., and provides continuity for our many young adults who transition from wilderness programs. At the Lodge they engage in life skills, wellness, creative art and outdoor adventure. Therapy is a vital part of this phase, with both individual and group sessions weekly. There is a strong 12-Step recovery component that is integrated for those in need.

The Living Phase ensues at Kedlin House in Spokane, WA., and provides an urban setting for young adults to responsibly ease into independent living. While there, clients attend college, work, perform community service and actively engage in their recovery. Clients have access to their Life Coach daily, and regular therapy sessions if they choose. Spokane offers ample opportunity to pursue outdoor adventure and the arts.

Families may choose either phase and enroll and pay for each phase separately. Financing available.

Therapy
Our therapist and favorite nomad... Kim Mlinarik, LMHC, CDP, continues to provide regular sessions while effectively weaving her travels through the therapeutic structure at Life Designs. She's living her passion and leading by example...while offering the best of both worlds for our clients and alumni.

LifeTreks
The snow has FINALLY melted up here in the North Woods and we are all excited about the recreational opportunities the warm weather brings. Our LifeTreks program is in full swing, and whitewater rafting, wake-boarding, rock climbing and fly fishing are just around the corner.

Clients recently returned from the warm climes of the Everglades where they spent 10 days with Kim kayaking the mangroves, snorkeling, therapizing, and swatting mosquitoes.

Upcoming therapeutic treks include Glacier National Park Missouri River, San Juan Islands, Prince William Sound, Alaska and Croatia.

Forthcoming Film
Matt Donahue, our Creative Director, has been working like a mad-man on final edits for his new feature-length film entitled Vodnik. An amazing project, the production pulled our clients into every phase of development... costume design, set building, script writing and acting.
