Lava Heights Academy was in Chicago last month to take part in a milestone event for The Institute for Therapy through the Arts. ITA is a community-based program that offers an integrated arts approach to help children, adults, and families through Art Therapy, Music Therapy, Drama Therapy, and Dance/Movement Therapy.
As a sponsor for the ITA 40th Anniversary, Lava Heights played an important role in an event which included Art Therapy pioneer Dr. Harriet Wadeson, live dance performances, and Dancing with the Stars judge Carrie Ann Anaba (honored for her work in Dance/Movement Therapy).

It was a wonderful opportunity to be able to support a fellow creative arts therapies program and to be amongst those who have seen the benefits of the expressive arts first hand. We wish ITA another 40 years of inspiring change, strengthening health, cultivating achievement, and forging leadership!!
