Laurel Springs School is a private online school for grades K-12 that offers college prep courses including Advanced Placement, Honors and gifted and talented programs. Each student receives a Learning Styles assessment, a skills assessment and personalized instruction.

Accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges ( WASC) and courses are certified by the University of California and is a member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). In 2006, Laurel Springs received membership in the National Honor Society and has received a variety of awards such as the United Nations Global 500 Award, the North American Environmental Education Award and the United States Distance Learning Association Leadership Award. Marilyn Mosley Gordanier, M Ed, co founded Laurel Springs School in 1991, which now serves students in all 50 states and 43 countries. In addition to founding Laurel Springs, Marilyn helped found two other schools: New Morning School, MD and Laureate School for the Gifted and Talented in CA. Rex Bird, MBA is the President and CEO of Laurel Springs and Fiona Spring, M Ed is the Dean of Education and has been with Laurel Springs for over 10 years.

A unique aspect to Laurel Springs School is the individual teacher support each student and family receives. This assigned teacher offers an individualized teacher guided course of study and throughout the school year is available within 24 hours to respond to parent and student questions via email, fax, and phone or by mail, in addition to communication through an online interactive gradebook. There are over 350 courses to choose from in either web based or textbook format in addition to college prep high school courses approved by the University of California, NCAA and the National Honor Society.

Students who are ready to graduate are invited to a prom and graduation ceremony held each year in June (held on the same weekend). Students can meet other students and the faculty and participate in a full graduation ceremony complete with cap and gowns.
