Tracy Hopkins, our new Director of Admissions, brings a perfect blend of experience and training to her role at Lake House Academy.
Drawing from her prior work in three outdoor programs, she is easily able to aid girls and families as they transition to the Academy while honoring the work already completed to capitalize on the momentum of recent accomplishments. Her work with students in private therapeutic boarding schools allows her to understand the challenges students have with learning differences, social interactions and organizational skills and how they may be addressed at Lake House.
Tracy also has experience as an Admissions Counselor in a wilderness setting and as an Admissions Director in a school specializing in work with spectrum disordered students. She is able to ensure that each family's needs are understood and that each girl coming to the school not only has a well-trained professional coordinating each enrollment, but also has an ally and enthusiastic supporter in her corner.
Tracy is an enthusiastic mother of a boisterous preschooler, wife to a mutually interested outdoorsman, and bi-lingual (Korean) daughter of her own supportive parents. She tears up when talking of her work with youth and families and just can't seem to help smiling and infecting the Academy with her own brand of energy and passion.
