The Leadership Team of the King George School is pleased to announce the hiring of Judith Markey, Psy.D. to the position of Director of Clinical Services. Dr. Markey has nearly 20 years of experience in clinical work. She graduated most recently from the American School of Professional Psychology with a Doctorate of Psychology. Dr. Markey also has a double Master's degree, one in Clinical Psychology from the American School of Professional Psychology, and the other in Dance/Movement Therapy from Goucher College. Dr. Markey also holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance/Choreography from Ohio University.
Dr. Markey is currently a private practitioner and prior to that worked as a consultant to a residential treatment program in New Zealand. She has experience in individual therapy, group therapy (including cognitive-behavioral therapy and dance/movement therapy), teaching, and is a published author.
Judith will be fully relocating to Vermont from Colorado with her family in June, where she will be with us on a full-time basis. In the interim, she will be working closely with on-site staff to oversee the daily operations of the clinical department.
