San Cristobal Academy Announces New Admissions Director
San Cristobal Academy announced the appointment of Katryn (Kat) Cross as the programs new admissions director. In her new role, Kat will oversee all admissions activities including; new enrollments, ranch tours, and communications with families and referral sources.
Kat comes to her role with the admissions department directly from two very successful years as a teacher/mentor and supervisor in the San Cristobal Program. Her passion and results focused approaches, combined with an extensive knowledge of the SCA program; provide Kat a strong foundation in working with families, students, educational consultants, wilderness programs, primary drug and alcohol treatment centers and other referral sources.
Kat is a proud Army veteran with numerous military achievement awards; including a Humanitarian Service Metal for her significant contributions during the 1993 devastating floods in Mississippi. Kat enjoys community volunteer work with particular focus in working with kids and environmental related causes.
San Cristobal Academy is a continuing care program and transitional learning center for young men, 17-25 years of age, where students participate in classroom academics and field-based experiential education. SCA's mission is to offer an enriched therapeutic learning environment in which young men struggling with addiction, self-esteem issues, anger, depression, and school failure can improve their minds, bodies and spirits.
