Journey WV Client Enrolled
in Basic Firefighter Class

We are proud and excited to announce that one of the participants in The Journey WV is completing requirements to become a certified firefighter with the Canaan Valley Volunteer Fire Department. Collin, who has been with us for 2 months, is taking the 120 hour class so that he can become an asset to his community. Along with basic firefighting skills, such as Safety, Emergency Medical and First Aid, Crash Response, Search and Rescue Operations, Collin is also learning how to become civic minded and integrate into his local community here in West Virginia.

The Journey WV for Young Men provides opportunities for emerging young men to explore and practice real life skills that allow them to transition to independent living. The program utilizes the beautiful environment of Tucker County, WV, to provide a wide array of activities and challenges for the participants.

Q and A Associates was established to provide opportunities for failure to launch young adults to gain the confidence and skills needed to achieve independence. Our clients are often struggling with independent living skills, school or college life, finding or maintaining employment, social skills or family relationships. Through our program, clients build self-esteem and confidence while learning the hard life skills needed to achieve independence. We work with the whole family to teach new communication strategies that will allow the family to be healthier and happier.
