Remembering Jon William Tyler

December 8, 2009

(In a heartfelt holiday card we received, Lisa Tyler shared)

That in this holiday season we reflect on how wonderful it was that over the past 33 years the Tyler Boys Ranch, under Jon Tyler's leadership, was able to assist over a thousand young men on their path to responsible adulthood.

With Jon's sudden death in July of this year, the Ranch was of course closed to residents. Because of its non-profit status and Jon's wishes, the Ranch assets have been transferred to a variety of local non-profit organizations serving youth. Thus the good work continues.

Many have said that the world is a better place because people like Jon W. Tyler with a vision, a passion and God's grace determined to make it so. We subscribe to that belief.

On behalf of Jon's immediate and extended family and the wonderful Ranch employees and volunteers we close this final communication from the Ranch with our sincere appreciation to you for your valued support over these many years. It has made a significant and positive difference.

Please join us in remembering Jon William Tyler by visiting our Memorial at: www.mem.com

Through this site, we invite you to share your thoughts and fond memories with our family.

"May we live peacefully with one another and in harmony with the earth".
