InnerChange is pleased to announce the appointment of Gayle Jensen-Savoie, Ph.D. to Executive Director of Fulshear Ranch Academy.
Gayle received her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with a Minor in Women's Studies from Southern Methodist University. Her Master of Arts degree is in Clinical and Counseling Psychology, and her Doctorate is in General Psychology. Gayle comes to Fulshear with over 20 years experience in the hospital and behavioral health care industries. Most recently, Gayle was the Director of Behavioral Medicine at the Seay Behavioral Health Center/Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital of Plano, Texas. Prior to this, she was Director of Mental Health Services at Baylor Richardson Medical Center and served as Clinical Director for Baylor-Parkside Lodge. In addition to having her Ph.D. in General Psychology, Gayle is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC), and an Advanced Addiction Counselor (AAC).
"We conducted an exhaustive nationwide search to find the right long-term leader for Fulshear. In addition to her impressive training and background, Gayle is a nurturing and confident leader. After visiting our campus twice this summer and spending quality time with our students and staff, Gayle said that becoming Executive Director at Fulshear is her dream job, the fulfillment of her vast training and experience thus far," comments David Michel, CEO of InnerChange. "We're thrilled to welcome Gayle to our team."
Gayle will join InnerChange and Fulshear Ranch Academy in October.
Fulshear Ranch Academy, located in Needville, TX, is a young adult treatment and transition program for women ages 18 through 24 experiencing emotional and behavioral issues that could prevent a safe transition to independence. Common issues treated at Fulshear include dual diagnosis, personality disorders; bi-polar, post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), addiction, severe depression and anxiety, and poor body image. Many of the young women at Fulshear have histories of multiple failed placements, and for these families, Fulshear provides the tools needed for lasting independence. Our three-phase program allows girls to learn, grow, and thrive in an environment of intensive and clinically sophisticated treatment, health and wellness education, equine therapy, academics, and experiential life-skills training. Our goal is to support and empower young women towards healthy independence. Learn more about the program at www.FulshearRanchAcademy.com.
