In Balance Ranch Academy welcomes Lisa Stark to the Parent Liaison position at In Balance Ranch Academy. Lisa and her family came to know and love In Balance when their oldest son was admitted in 2006.

In sharing a part of her story as a parent with a struggling teen, Lisa shares "Our family was reeling. We had so much fear, anger, and sadness - we thought we had lost our son. When he finally got to In Balance we were so relieved, but fearful at the same time. Was he safe? Would he get better? Would he be taken care of? While he was at the ranch he received excellent care from his wonderful therapist and devoted staff, and he was finding recovery, but we, as a family still felt lost. We did everything we could for him, not much for ourselves, and felt we had no one to turn to who understood what we were going through. After successfully completing the program and graduating from the ranch, our son came home. Even though there were still challenges to face, something really wonderful happened. As we began to communicate with other families, and volunteered to be of service we were able to find our own recovery, get our lives back on track, and we loved doing it!"

"My goal is to assist the families of In Balance while their sons are in treatment, from the day they arrive until the day they graduate, and beyond. The treatment process can be overwhelming, and it's important that families feel supported and connected, not only to their sons, but to the other families who are going through this as well. I appreciate the opportunity to be of service, and will do whatever I can to make this a smooth and positive journey."
