8th Anniversary and
Awards Dinner

On November 15, 2013, the Independent Small Programs Alliance held its major Fall Dinner Meeting at the W Hotel in San Diego, CA.

This event is in place to acknowledge the Programs and Professionals making a difference in Specials needs in 2013.

The event was held at the "W" hotel, which has a reputation for its parties, banquets and ambiance.

After the food and drink the award ceremony began with Andy Anderson, MRA, the ISPA President welcoming everyone and thanking them for their participation.

The awards were as listed:


Anita Targan
Lifetime Achievement Award


On November 15, 2013 Anita Targan received the coveted ISPA Lifetime Achievement Award at the Fall ISPA Dinner and Awards Party in San Diego.

The award is given to individuals who are going far beyond the norm in assisting ISPA in providing the top education and treatment.

Anita has worked tirelessly for 40 years helping families become whole again. Education, treatment and psychological issues have been her specialty.

Everyone loves Anita in our business. She is a consummate professional. She loves her work!

Anita has been helping ISPA by providing advice, and offering guidance related to ISPA. Anita was one of the initial12 persons who attended our first (1) ISPA Dinner in Philadelphia.

Anita is someone who cares about families, works hard to find solutions and is a consummate professional.

I hear people talk about Anita and it is all-positive. She has the respect and awe of other professionals.

A Professional Founders Award was given to Building Bridges, one of the original four members of ISPA.


Paula Feldman
Gem Award Winner


This award is for a person or program that has shown hard work, diligence, innovation, perseverance and strength.

It has been awarded in the past, but is not awarded every year. Winners are scrutinized carefully to make sure they hit top marks in education, leadership, and innovation.

Paula is unique. Her intensity is softened by grace and style. She works to make sure she gets things done for her families.

Her abilities have show for years, but it was time that ISPA and the entire field acknowledge her gifts and contributions.

Congratulations Paula. You are most deserving.

Nicole Shelton was awarded a Special Founders Award for her work on the IECA dinners in 2013. She handled it with style and saved ISPA and Andy Anderson time and money.


The ISPA Professional Founders Award


Jill and Steve Fairbank were awarded the Professional Founders Award for their constant work to give kids with problems the opportunity find out about who they are and how far they can get in our world

They have provided solid advice to the President of ISPA.


ISPA Founders Award


The ISPA Founders Award is an award given by the Founder of ISPA, Andy Anderson, MRA, for exceptional hard work, flexibility in our very difficult market.

2013 saw two winners, Building Bridges of Montana and Mountain Valley Treatment Center in New Hampshire for their working within ISPA and offering up resources to other members.


Individual Professional Founders Award


An Individual Professional Founders Award was given to Building Bridges, one of the original four members of ISPA.

Jill and Steve Fairbank have been constantly working for more than 20 years to give kids with problems the opportunity find out about who they are and how far they can get in our world.

They have provided solid advice to Andy Anderson, MRA, and the President of ISPA.

Congratulations Steve, Jill, Sarah and Kurt.

Special Founders Award - Nicole Shelton For all her work on the IECA dinner just passed and the ISPA Dinner last May.


The event was fantastic! ISPA looks forward to 2014 and more exceptional work from our members and continued great relationships with our Educational Consultant Partners.
