Shannon Knapp, President of Horse Sense of the Carolinas, Inc. and of Horse Sense Business Sense, LLC has been named graduate advisor to the only master level EAL (Equine Assisted Learning) program in the country at Prescott College in Arizona. The college offers a Masters in Education with an Equine-Assisted Learning concentration.
The mission of Prescott College is to educate students of diverse ages and backgrounds, so they can understand, thrive in, and enhance our world community and environment. The college regards learning as a continuing process and strives to provide an education that will enable students to live productive lives while achieving a balance between self-fulfillment and service to others.
Ms. Knapp has a master's degree and taught college English for ten years prior to starting Horse Sense of the Carolinas. I loved teaching and still do, so I was back in my element with people passionate about scholarly thought and research, states Knapp. Even better, I get to combine my passion for teaching with my love of Equine-Assisted Practice. I'm deeply honored to have been asked for this position, and can't wait to get busy helping students in this area of concentration.
