Tim Thayne Ph.D., founder of Homeward Bound, which has been offering in-home aftercare services for four years, announced an expansion of their services by creating Family Front, "a wholly owned subsidiary of Homeward Bound." The stated purpose of Family Front is "to support families earlier in the process… to provide an effective alternative to a much more costly and disruptive out-of-home placement."

To better provide more treatment options at more affordable prices, Homeward Bound and Family Front are looking to develop "partnerships" with educational consultants and program providers. According to their web site www.homewardbound.net have been developed with Educational Consultant George Posner's Educational Consulting Services, New York and Utah, www.gposner.com, Turnabout/Stillwater Academy, Salt Lake City, 866-359-4600 and ANASAZI foundation, 800-678-3445, www.anasazi.org.

"By including intensive in-home services and multi-systemic support as an option within the overall treatment plan, treatment lengths can be shortened," said Dr. Tim Thayne, founder and CEO of Homeward Bound. "This makes the placement of troubled teens in out-of-home treatment settings more financially feasible to a larger number of families than ever before."
