HERO House has made significant changes and additions in the last year. A new staff, new leadership, a new Curriculum and a brand new web site, complete with new logo has HERO House again leading the Collegiate Recovery movement.

With the rise of some fantastic new and old on-campus Collegiate Recovery Communities (CRC's) across the nation, it is clear that the problem of addiction is now primarily a young adult issue. The attention many brave universities have given to this epidemic is paying off as students in recovery are banding together to live life sober.

HERO House in Atlanta, started by Randy Haveson in 2005 has grown into a regional resource for much of the southeast. Now, with the addition of Leah Briick as Program Director and Mark McGuiness as Chief Development Officer, HERO House is on the verge of a national resurgence.

Using the cutting edge Curriculum developed by Dan Griffin, Rick Dauer and Stephanie Covington, this staff is treating students in the trauma-informed and gender responsive way that is now sweeping through the treatment industry.

Designed for high functioning students who need a safe, supportive transition into (or back into) Higher Education, HERO House is a combination of a recovery residence and clinical support that creates a fast moving vehicle back into the mainstream, sober.

With a new look and new energy they are creating a path for students who have completed primary treatment and are motivated to be students in recovery.
