Heritage School is celebrating 25 years of changing the lives of youth with their upcoming Scholarship Gala, Friday, May 15, 2009. The purpose of this benefit event is to help fund scholarships for local families who are financially challenged and in need of the schools services, as well as scholarships for post high school education for Heritage graduates.

This event will be held at James B. and Lynnette C. Loveland Performing Arts Center at Heritage School, with a silent auction and serving stations open at 6:00 pm. The program begins at 7:00 pm along with the live auction. Dress will be formal (silver tie) or business dress to go with this year's theme: Silver Anniversary.

Cost is $75.00 per person/ $150.00 per couple or to sponsor a table of 8 the cost is $550.00. There is special pricing for alumni available. Please contact Karen Tapahe for more information.

An awards ceremony will also be held, recognizing others who have joined in Heritage's mission of changing lives. Past recipients of the Spirit of Heritage Award include Alex Boye', Senator Orrin Hatch, Pat Davis, the James and Lynnette Loveland family, Steve Stewart, and the Ed and Lois Smart family, who have been invited to attend the gala.

The 2009 recipients of the Spirit of Heritage Starfish Awards include Thurl Bailey, Chad Hymas, Mona Heern, Ron Williams, and the Chipman family. The Spirit of Heritage Award will be presented to Mary Kaye Huntsman, the wife of Utah's Governor, Jon M. Huntsman, Jr.
