We are pleased to announce Jessica Jo Stenquist TRS, CTRS, LCSW, MPA as the newest member of the Heritage family! Jessica Jo will join the Business Development team as being specifically responsible for Elevate Academy. In her new role she will balance time between marketing, outreach, and business strategy with program development and enhancement working closely with Eugene Marshall, the Clinical Director of Elevate Academy.

Jessica Jo began her journey into the therapeutic and clinical world through Therapeutic Recreation as an intern at Heritage in the Equine Therapy Department. After working a number of years as a Recreational Therapist she pursued her Master's degrees in Social Work and Public Administration (MSW/MPA). She has spent time working with all age groups across these many treatment settings. With many years in the industry filling various roles, Jessica Jo has worked with many who struggle with anything from attachment issues, adoption, trauma, treatment resistance, dual diagnosis, substance abuse, anger management, and identity issues. Her passion in recent years has been diving into all things Attachment based and she is certified through the Neufeld Institute.

With fondness Jessica Jo will look back on her time most recently spent at Wingate Wilderness Therapy where she served as a primary therapist helping adolescents and young adults overcome challenges while using the wilderness as a catalyst. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (TRS, CTRS), she also spent time building her skills and providing her experience to University Neuropsychiatric Institute (UNI)--a facility providing detox, inpatient, intensive outpatient, day treatment, and outpatient services--and to Discovery Academy--a therapeutic boarding school for adolescents.

Due to her time in these and other varied program options, she has a solid understanding of the experiences the adolescents bring to the doors of Heritage and how Heritage can play a role in the process at this stage in their journey of change.

Jessica Jo grew up in the Mid-West and has lived in many different states but she claims Utah as her home base. She enjoys learning new activities and is especially fond of riding horses, reading, camping, hiking, canyoneering, biking, playing guitar, taking road trips, rock climbing, gardening, and spending as much time with her adorable niece, nephews, and younger siblings as time permits.
