As many of you know by now, Liz and Jim Gordon are joining the team at Greenbrier Academy and after they complete getting things in order in Michigan and get settled in Lewisburg, they will be diving right into their new responsibilities with our girls and the staff. Needless to say, we are thrilled they have made this decision and hope you will help us in welcoming them to our campus.

We did want them to have the opportunity to share their news with you, their friends and colleagues and the families and programs they are currently working with and we wanted to tell our families and the clients you have working with us before we made our announcement.

Jim and Liz have been educational consultants for years, and as some of this may be redundant from Liz's announcement on IECA's listserve, please forgive me if you've already heard this news.

Liz will join our clinical team as a therapist and holds a Master's degree in psychology. She has worked with special needs children, adolescents and families for over twenty years and has extensive experience in program development. Having also referred and placed young ladies at Greenbrier, she does have a good understanding of our philosophy and holds the same values that our current staff do in regards to our families, our girls and our personal beliefs.

Jim holds a Master's degree in teaching and school administration. He has over 15 years of professional experience working with children and teens as a classroom teacher and school administrator. Jim has also worked closely with the court's early intervention program and with families to help prevent truancy and incorrigibility. He has a deep understanding and training in working with students with ADHD, learning differences and emotional issues. Jim will move into the position of Academic Director.
