Freedom Mountain Transitions
To New Phase

Dear FMA Family and Friends,

Big news is dawning over our corner of the Appalachians.

For sixteen years, Freedom Mountain Academy has offered young men and women a transformative year of work, study, and adventure here on the farm in the mountains of Northeast Tennessee.

We are so grateful to have been a part of the great adventure of Freedom Mountain Academy, and now the time has come, as with all the best adventures, for our roads to lead onward to new destinations, thus we are in the planning stages to move forward in a completely different direction.

Because FMA has been such a large part of so many lives, we have decided to provide one final year of meaningful friendship, intellectual stimulation, empowering ideas, satisfying farm work, unforgettable memory making, and wilderness achievement.

Beginning in September 2016 and concluding in May 2017, Freedom Mountain Academy's farewell year will be a last opportunity for all the young men and women who have not yet experienced the magic of FMA. We intend, in our final year, to celebrate all that has made FMA such a special place.

We would so appreciate your help in reaching those who are already a part of our greater FMA family and those who have sons or daughters who have not yet had the opportunity to join us. Please take a moment to send us updated contact information for your family - especially your sons/daughters who are FMA graduates so we may spread the word far and wide.

While a transition of this sort naturally tugs at the heart, we are rejoicing; rejoicing for what has been such an incredible experience and rejoicing for the opportunity to direct our energies in new and inspiring ways. We hope you will share our enthusiasm, and we look forward to hearing from each and every one of you.
