Four Circles Recovery Center, an innovative, state-of-the-art addiction, substance abuse and co-occurring mental health disorders treatment program for young adults ages 18-28, has announced the launch of a new extended care transition program for young adult males ready to take the next step after primary substance abuse treatment. The new program opened on Friday, November 23rd and assists young adult males in successfully transitioning and reintegrating into society.

"As an innovative treatment provider, Four Circles felt a responsibility to address the growing need for transition services in a way that manages the client's primary substance abuse problem while also helping them develop the skills necessary to live independently," said Jack Kline, MS, LPC, LCAS, CCS, Executive Director of Four Circles. "Research has proven that longer treatment over the continuum of care produces better outcomes for clients after transitioning from a primary treatment facility. Four Circles Transition Program is a unique and very timely addition to our treatment services that will provide young adults with the tools and knowledge to achieve long-term sobriety."

Included in the program is individual counseling, a family program, financial management, yoga, martial arts, gym membership, 12-Step meetings, life skills training, relapse prevention, and recovery skills groups. In addition, clients receive psycho-education, therapeutic process groups, and vocational and education coaching. They participate in volunteer and service opportunities, adventure therapy and weekend outdoor expeditions to have fun while staying sober.

"The Four Circles Transition Program is a structured environment that will help young men learn the skills necessary to live sober and independent lives," said Kelly Moore, MS, LPC, ATR, Program Director, Four Circles Transition Program. "During the six-month program, clients will move through three phases while focusing on recovery, gaining independence, and developing new behaviors and coping skills to be successful in life and their sobriety."

Clients are drug tested regularly and are required to attend 12-Step meetings and, during the third phase of the program, also work part-time or attend school. The initial capacity is for 13 clients, but there are plans to expand over time.
