Fieldstone Academy, located on a ranch at the base of the mountains of Utah and classrooms in downtown Richfield, south of Salt Lake City, has been in operation for five years and is an academic/transition boarding school for young men in grades 8-12, specializing in academic recovery and accelerated learning. This residential ranch program is designed for those who have lost interest in school or struggle with ADD/ADHD, oppositional defiance, problems with peers or teachers or are in transition from a wilderness program or other residential program.

Accredited by the Northwest Association of Accredited Schools (NAAS), Fieldstone Academy's principal is Ell B. Sorenson, PhD, who holds a doctorate in Education Administration, Social Psychology and Curriculum Development. Marv Forsythe is the Admissions Director and Ranch Manager, Chris Forsythe is the School Director and John Forsythe is Fieldstone's Marketing and Finance Director.

With their small size, classes at Fieldstone Academy average five to six students, offering students personal attention and one on one teaching, tutoring and a vast array of electives for students to choose from. In addition to their academics, students learn work ethic and responsibility while working and caring for horses, cows, pigs, chickens and dogs on the academy's ranch.

The beautiful mountains of Utah offer the students a variety of outdoor activities that include hiking, horseback riding and biking. In addition, students participate in working out in a full commercial gym that offers weight lifting, aerobics, wrestling, racquetball and swimming. Other activities include: martial arts, basketball, soccer, woodworking, construction, cooking classes, piano and guitar classes and ranch work.
