Fieldstone Academy, a residential boarding school in Gunnison, Utah, has started a new program for both boys and girls grades 4 through 8. The primary purpose of this program will be to provide students with an excellent educational experience while focusing on the development of healthy family skills and behavior.
"We focus on development of family skills that our students will need in order to return home and be a loving son, daughter, or sibling. These skills cross over into all other areas or our student's lives including the classroom and social environments." states Thomas Knight, Director of Fieldstone Junior Boarding School. "Our primary goal with each student is for them to be able to return home to their family where they belong"
Students in this new program attend school at Fieldstone Academy's beautiful 38,000 square foot learning facility situated on a 22 acre campus. With a full range of farm animals including horses, cows, and chickens, students get a once in a lifetime experience. Each student adopts a day old calf shortly after arriving which helps students learn responsibility.
Students sleep off campus in one of two homes, one for boys and one for girls. In this environment they interact as a family and learn crucial life skills. This program aims to be unique by offering a family based non-dormitory style living environment. Students who have family relationship issues or just need to learn proper behavior in a healthy family environment will excel and find incredible success at Fieldstone Junior Boarding School.
Fieldstone Academy is a Residential Boarding School in existence since 2004. Fieldstone Academy focuses on academic recovery and minor behavioral issues.
