Shannon Quinby Joins
The Family Foundation School

After spending most of her career in public and media relations for various non-profit organizations in Washington, D.C., Shannon began informally helping families with struggling teens after her own daughter graduated from The Family Foundation School in 2005. Her family's personal journey of hope inspired a formal career change and in 2010 Shannon became an independent educational consultant specializing in therapeutic schools and programs so she might reach even more families in need. In her role of enrollment development and referral relations for The Family Foundation School, Shannon combines her communications and therapeutic consulting background with her personal story to help guide families and students. Shannon is pursuing a master's degree in rehabilitation counseling at Virginia Commonwealth University. She lives outside Washington, D.C. in McLean, Virginia with her husband and two daughters Katie (27) and Lee (22), both of whom live and work in the D.C. metropolitan area.

Family Foundation School is a private, therapeutic boarding school for teens at risk, serving grades 9 through 12.
