Website reflects the strong artistic orientation of this all-girls therapeutic high school and answers the question: "Who is Eva Carlston?"
Eva Carlston Academy announced the launch of a new website designed to more accurately reflect the school's strong aesthetic orientation. "The healing power of art makes intuitive sense to most people, but it's also well documented in clinical research," says the school's founder, Kristi Ragsdale. "That's why art is infused in every aspect of our program-as recreation, as an academic discipline, as a key milieu element, and as a treatment modality. Our new website beautifully showcases this artistic emphasis."
Eva Carlston is designed to help adolescent girls with emotional difficulties "find their purpose and their passion," says the school's clinical director, Sue Johansen-Hoffman, MSW, LCSW. "Our clinical, school, and milieu program are all designed to help our students discover a strong sense of direction and identity."
The website also describes the academy's elegant and comfortable homelike setting. It's unique location gives students access to both urban and outdoor resources for rich cultural, experiential, and recreational opportunities. One surprise feature of the website is a biography of Eva Carlston herself. "Since opening the school, one of the most frequent questions I've gotten is 'who is Eva Carlston?'" says Ragsdale. "The new website finally tells her story. We think people will be surprised!"
