Dr. Connolly Appointed Medical
Director For Elevations
and ViewPoint

Elevations RTC and ViewPoint Center are pleased to announce our new Medical Director, Dr. Michael Connolly.

Dr. Connolly is board certified in General and Child/Adolescent Psychiatry. He previously served in roles as Medical Director and attending physician for several residential treatment programs and a university inpatient hospital. He continues to maintain a small outpatient practice in a multispecialty clinic providing mental health integration into the community.

"I am excited to be a part of bridging these two outstanding programs on our campus, to share the expertise that my colleagues in both facilities can offer," said Dr. Connolly.

Dr. Connolly is a member of the Utah Medical Association, the Intermountain Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, and the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. He has presented on various topics including the treatment of adolescent nicotine dependence.

Dr. Connolly earned his undergraduate degree and medical doctorate from the University of Oklahoma. He trained at the University of Texas, Southwestern, in Dallas, for his general psychiatry residency, and at the University of Utah for a fellowship in Child/Adolescent Psychiatry.

Of note, Dr. Connolly is an avid runner who ran this year's Boston Marathon. He trained and completed a sprint triathlon with students of Elevations RTC earlier this year.

Elevations RTC is one of the only co-ed residential treatment centers in the country offering comprehensive psychiatric and medical services, college preparatory academics, robust recreational programming and an integrated therapeutic approach that combines milieu, group, individual and family therapies. Located across campus from Elevations RTC is ViewPoint Center, a specialty psychiatric hospital. This multi-disciplinary team is highly regarded for making sense of complex psychiatric presentations and providing a treatment roadmap to greater health and well-being. Additionally, we successfully assist families in accessing insurance benefits to help defray the cost of treatment.

ViewPoint Center is a specialty psychiatric hospital providing psychiatric stabilization, neuropsychological assessment, comprehensive clinical treatment, and integrated prescriptive services for adolescents ages 13-17.

Elevations RTC is a co-ed residential treatment center adolescents age 13-17.
