Dear Friends!
As most of you know I have left Second Nature after nine years working as an admissions counselor and serving as the admissions director. It is a very difficult decision to leave such an amazing company as Second Nature, and I also felt it was time for me to chase my dreams. It is a very exciting time for me and my family as we launch this new endeavor.
Elements Wilderness Program will operate in the Manti-La Sal National Forest which is approximately two hours south and east of Salt Lake City. The office is located 15 miles south of Price in Huntington, Utah
Lynn Smith is one of the founding partners and will serve as the clinical director of the program as well as a primary therapist for the first boys group. Karen Hesselman is also one of the founding partners and will serve as the program director as well as managing the day to day field operations. We are all passionate about the wilderness and what it provides for children and families.
We know that the economy is not favorable right now and that many families are contemplating missing out on the benefits of wilderness because of the high costs associated with it. We are going to operate a small, affordable, and effective wilderness program that meets the needs of the majority of the families that you are accustomed to treating in the wilderness.
Our opening day will be Saturday May 24th
I look forward to continuing a relationship with you and help you meet the needs of the families you serve.
