Assessment Tool For
Parents Now Available

Educational Planning and Counseling LLC wishes to announce its release of its new assessments for Educational Consultant and parents. The assessments are titled (ECPA) The Educational Parents Assessment Tool. They were was developed by Kenneth Davis, MEd Independent, Educational Consultant from Arizona.

Kenneth has developed these comprehensive assessment tools to help his own practice in gathering and fact finding step of sharing information with parents in the initial process when meeting with dozens of parents. We found, the "many of the initial steps of meeting with parents and gather information was done randomly by consultant and varied from consultant to consultant, reducing the success rate in the placement by not shying this information until after the placement. This random, rather than clinically researched method resulted in some error by the consultant. We found not all parents share the same information nor are they able to recognize the information might not be accurate.

Each of the 14 different assessments provide the specific information need by the consultant to determine the most important areas of family life, crisis or intervention needed, life events, strengths and challenges by the student and their parents. It also examine individual problem solving by the consultant and the parent. The intention of the assessment is to be more specific identifying resource for consultants.

We believe these assessments cover a broader range of placement option allowing the parent and the consultant to be more involved in the process of discovery. We also believe that administering these assessments through systems like BestNotes provides for better documentation practices to comply with HIPAA and state compliance requirements.

The assessment s allow the consultant to choose this information and gather and shared this with the parent. It also allows for greater transparency between the consultant and the parent in the flow of gathering this information.

Each question leads to the next question and this randomly selected process enable the consultant to be more specific as the interview process begins, it also helps determine early on whether there is a need for the consultants services and provides a more clinical approach.
