Marla Simon is pleased to announce the opening of her San Diego office. Marla has spent the last seven years serving families in the Northeast Ohio area. As an educational and therapeutic placement consultant, Ms Simon will be continuing to serve families nationwide. You are invited to take a look at the newly designed web site and you can also find me on Twitter and Facebook.

Marla holds a master's of social science administration (MSSA) from Case Western Reserve University and is a Certified Educational Planner (CEP), and a professional member of the Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA). Ms. Simon also regularly participates in continuing educational workshops in order to further her knowledge associated with the varied issues that teens and young adults are challenged with. Marla also builds her knowledge base by participating in a variety of organizations including: National Association of Therapeutic Schools and Programs (NATSAP), Children and Adults with Attention Deficit Disorder (CHADD), Learning Disabilities Association (LDA), International Dyslexia Association (IDA), Council of Advocates and Attorneys (COPAA) and others. Marla is a recipient of the Woodbury Reports Excellence in Education Award.

Prior to entering the field of Educational Consulting, Marla founded the family resource center at Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital and the Family Advocacy Network Support System working with families struggling with ADHD, LD and Autistic Spectrum Disorders.

For over seven years, Educational Options has served families who are seeking to find alternative educational and therapeutic options for struggling child, teen or young adult. Referrals to wilderness programs, supportive day/ boarding schools for students with learning differences, therapeutic boarding schools, emotional growth schools, and residential treatment centers along with case management and transitional services are provided. Since I regularly visit schools and program I have an integral knowledge of how to recommend the best fit which can lead to the highest level of success for both students and their families.

The decision to seek away from home treatment is too important not to do it with guidance of a trained professional. Educational Options, the way forward.
