Gay Jackson, R.N., BS, joined Educational Options, LLC as an educational consultant on November 8, 2009. Gay has over 30 years experience working as a registered nurse and has spent over half of this as a certified Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse. She has had experience managing acute adolescent, child, and adult psychiatric inpatient and residential services. Gay has also worked in crisis intervention and triage in a local hospital.
Over the past 9 years, she worked in an adolescent residential treatment center where she was the Admission Director and Associate Executive Director. From these experiences Gay has a unique understanding of the needs of troubled teens and young adults, their parents, and families. She has also acquired a great deal of knowledge about the appropriateness of placements in the various options available for treatment.
She resides the Salt Lake City area with her family and travels extensively to therapeutic programs and schools. Gay will also meet with clients in programs as needed.
Renee Goldberg, Ed.D. Director of Educational Options, LLC is pleased that Gay will provide a western United States presence for the practice and will be an active part of the special needs services.
