Eckerd Academy at Deer Lodge is excited to announce they have teamed up with Cedar Creek Cattle Company to offer a 12-week horsemanship class working with domesticated horses and wild Mustangs. The challenge is to teach the horses to follow basic commands and complete such tasks as loading on and off a trailer and backing into a stall.
The students are "joined up" with a horse to emphasize and build:
Verbal and Non-verbal communication
Emotional bonding
Trust
Respect
Self-esteem
Personal responsibility
