Eckerd Academy of the Blue Ridge is proud to announce that Matt Losch has joined our team as the Education Coordinator. Matt brings a wealth of experience to Eckerd Academy of the Blue Ridge, and his unique approach to education will only serve to support the continued growth and development of the Academic Program.

In the few weeks that Matt has been with us, he has gotten Eckerd Academy of the Blue Ridge established as an S.A.T. testing center, with 15 seats per test session, and is establishing an AP course curriculum at EABR, as well as German and French course offerings.

Matt graduated from Concord College in 1998 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. He began his career in 1999 as a counselor/teacher for E-Tik-Etu, an outdoor therapeutic program operated by Eckerd Youth Alternatives. He later joined a Department of Human Resources outdoor therapeutic program in Georgia where he served as a counselor until 2002. He was a teacher in the Barrow County School System, teaching Special Education until 2007, when he returned to the Department of Human Resources outdoor therapeutic program as a teacher until January 2010.

He has a Master of Science in Education from Indiana University, a certificate in Teaching English to Speaker's of Other Languages from UCLA Extension, and has studied Special Education and Educational Leadership extensively at the University of Georgia. Matt is certified in Educational Leadership, Special Education, Reading, Middle Grades, ESOL and Social Sciences 7-12.
Eckerd Academy of the Blue Ridge is a licensed and accredited therapeutic boarding school in an outdoor setting located in the beautiful mountains of North Georgia. The campus consists of co-ed students ages 10-19. EABR is fully accredited by SACS and COA.
